Amanda Whitaker - Dance Instructor

Amanda began dancing at the age of 5 in Longwood, Florida. She continued her dance education in West Palm Beach, Florida through her senior year of high school earning a placement in the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. Amanda began teaching dance in 2009, instructing students ages 2-10 in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz.

 

Amanda continued to teach dance throughout college as well as dance for Universal Studios Orlando, performing in the Macy's Holiday Parade and the Superstar Parade. She studied Early Childhood Development and Education at the University of Central Florida, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in 2014.

 

In 2014, Amanda participated in the Rockettes Summer Intensive in New York City. During this week-long intensive, she trained under the direction of several current Rockettes and learned three of their iconic routines. 

 

Amanda is very excited to be joining the DDA family in the 2016-2017 Season!
