Morgan Nicole Welch- Owner/Director

An Aiken native, Morgan Nicole Welch has been dancing her entire life. She began her intensive training with The Southern Strutt in Irmo, SC and then completed her high school dance training in Aiken. Morgan spent her years of dance instruction, not only a dancer and performer, but as a teacher and choreographer...all while attending school, helping to take care of her family and holding two part time jobs.

Dream Dance Academy is a name that Morgan has coveted for a very long time in hopes of one day opening her own dance studio, but never imagining that day would come before graduating college! When the opportunity that presented itself was too good to pass up, Morgan became a business owner at just 19 years old. With an established location and equipment, mirrors and a sound system already in place, Morgan quickly came to realize that her dream was unfolding right in front of her...and Dream Dance Academy was no longer just a dream! Morgan became a certified dance instructor after completing her training in 2013 with Dance Masters of America.

Morgan graduated from the University of South Carolina Aiken, in May 2014, where she received her Bachelor in Exercise and Sports Science with a Concentration in Allied Health. Morgan also kept the LIFE scholarship, given for academics, her entire 4 years at USCA. Morgan danced on the USCA Pacer Dance Team for two years.

Morgan has also partnered with the Aiken Community Playhouse. She has a special relationship with ACP, as she was a dancer in Footloose; the very first play that was performed in the building on Newberry St. Morgan has choreographed the following productions:  Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Romeo and Juliet, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

On July 30th, 2016 Morgan married the love of her life, Austin Welch.
